Ned is a founding Partner of Birchmere Ventures and Birchmere Labs with a focus on seed and early stage SaaS and edu tech companies. Ned is a frequent guest lecturer on entrepreneurship and venture capital at Carnegie Mellon University. Ned is also a serial entrepreneur and co-founded eLoop to sustainably recycle e-waste, and FastFreight Expeditors, a logistics company. He also developed an online real estate firm and helped invent The Setter, a volleyball training device. Ned also ran several special operations R&D programs for the DoD.
Notable investments include Cvent [CVT], TenMarks [acq by AMZN], Neolinear [acq by CDN], NextPrinciples, Presence Learning, and BitVault.
He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master's Degree in Engineering Management from George Washington University.< Back
